Barbara let me give you my perspective in respect of you personally, without trying to be rude and as a perception of you as a very good caring person. Yet we differ on the 1/2 glass example. If your open I will give you my reality and explain why that is important. Also, understand to deal with adversity each day one must be positive every hour and in expressing reality, what is real, truth, is not negative thinking, it is what it is, the situation at hand. An addict cannot be cured until they accept that reality then they can think positive and hope.Gas prices have gone down. Yes a needed booster and we all needed that, you are right. Yet why would we have expected anything differently? Yes a blessing. My view skeptical at best. Do you not follow history, the last election, the very same thing. Do you really believe they will stay down? Only as required. I have only one word - election.
Needless spending. I can go with as well. We have cut out everything and can still cut some more, but my mom, well she’ll have to wait for her medicine because we have no cash, yes and that electric bill, well I can't pay all of that $369.00 and moms on Oxygen. Yes and that credit card that we used to pay 7.9 and now is 25.9% didn't help much. But yes, I guess we are abusers. After all I guess that could be considered needless and abusive but with no one to help, please don't tell me government or church, please. If they stopped the usury I would have been able to pay. They won't.
Blessings, yes I have to agree I am blessed, many do have it much worse. In that you are correct and I thank God for that each day. That keeps me going. Faith yes, but I have already written to that. Pick up your cross my Grace is sufficient.You mention those great strides in creativity. We should, but I am a realist, where does it show? They could have created already if they wanted to or had the ability. They could have led but they haven't and we see hope in them, why? My God, why?Come together for a solution. Ok hope. Enough said. They solutions are gone for America and people do not realize it. They could take action they don't. That isn't negative Barbara, that is fact. They could lower those usury rates immediately, joint action and free, without a nickel cost to the taxpayers millions into the pockets of people like me, immediately, they don't, fact, not negative, reality.
Ok back to school. Illegal’s go free Americans pay. No job, no pay, no pay can’t pay. Enough said. Government, Barbara, grants, please. Enough said.
The market, Well Barbara these are professionals who drive the market. They wheel and deal daily in the millions and billions. They get out, we are stuck. Those minor investors who sell off are not the problem. Greed is. Usury is and we help their cause. Negative on that one, Yes you got me. It starts with the General Welfare and the Welfare today is only defined as "for me".
Now I end with your statement "This awareness of how I'm not reacting and my ability to write articles such as these, demonstrates to me that it is possible to make change by choosing a different reaction to what is happening with the economy." Exactly, but will there be change, no and that is important to maintain a positive attitude over extended periods of time. Why pages and pages and pages have been written as to why. The experts confirm it. We have problems, major problems and it is impacting families across this nation and they will get worse not better and many more will be impacted. Hey call that negative, I call that truth, reality, fact. No certainly not all, only about 60 million and rising.
To change one has to first accept reality not ignore it. That full glass comes about by accepting that reality, understanding the real issues, why they are present, what caused them and what options are available to correct them. In my opinion this is the real positive, full cup, creativity that is needed. Like I said, we all still hope and look ahead but I call it reality, not negative, when they say pay or tomorrow it goes off. Hope, I feel I for one have la lot more then most. Positive, yes, each day I open my eyes I say thank you Lord and I will get through it in faith. That is my full cup.

The fact that my article stirred up this discussion is a good thing, in my view. Contrast--in beliefs and in changes in our lifestyle--are opportunities for us to focus on what we truly want in life, or to take another look at what we are valuing, and to perhaps re-focus our thoughts, our behaviors and our energies in ways that are pleasing to us and to those around us.
I am not offended at all by your comments: I just don't happen to see "reality" as you see it. And that is the beauty of the contrast for me: it reaffirms my view, as it reaffirmed yours when you read my article. Warmly, Barbara
